Inverness are in a period of transition off the field, with Graham Rae stepping down as chairman and being replaced by Ross Morrison ahead of next Thursday’s extraordinary general meeting.

“We want to show people out there that may be interested we are a club that’s going to be battling at the right end of the table to get back where we need to. That’s the Premiership.

“The chairman has said he has done everything he can, and put a considerable part of his own money into that.”

Robertson revealed chief executive Scot Gardiner, formerly at Dundee, has addressed the squad in an attempt to allay concerns. He added: “Scot has had a chat with the players to tell them there is nothing to worry about.

“Scot is very optimistic and confident we will have a board of substance to take the club forward.”
