Terrors gaffer Robbie expects better from home double-header

-

DUNDEE United boss Robbie Neilson hopes home is where the points are as he prepares his side for a Tannadice double-header.

The Tangerines have been imperious on home turf so far this season, winning all four Championship matches there and scoring 18 goals in the process.

It’s a marked difference to their current form on the road with the 4-0 loss at Queen of the South making it three reverses on the spin.

Next up, however, is a home clash against Dunfermline before United host Partick Thistle.

Both picked up impressive wins at the weekend over Ayr United and Dundee, respectively, but Neilson expects much better from his side over the next two matches.

He said: “I think the majority of teams are like that, to be honest.

“You go away from home and winning difficult to do.

“We have had two very tough away games recently on astro pitches.

“You need to adapt your game for that and we didn’t manage to do that.

“We have home games coming up now at Tannadice, where we have a really good record, so we are looking to do better.”

Meanwhile, both United and Arbroath have been given a slap on the wrist and a suspended fine following an SFA hearing.

The club’s players caught the attention of the disciplinary beaks after Jamie Robson and Calum Butcher had an on-pitch bust-up with Lichties pair Michael McKenna and James Murphy i n United’s 2-1 victory on September 21.

The clubs were charged with breaching disciplinary rule 204.

Both were given a censure and a £1,000 fine, suspended until the end of the season.
