Old rivals are ready for Glenesk derby

-

OLD foes Violet and Lochee Harp meet at Glenesk in the North Premier League.

Harp manager Michael Gormley is hoping last week’s win over Forfar Albion will give his side some much-needed confidence.

Violet gaffer Andy Heggie was a bit disappointed with their display against Blairgowrie last week but, knowing the history between the clubs, expects every player to be raring to go this week.

Violet were 2-1 winners when the pair met earlier in the season and Heggie has a full pool available.

Harp boss Gormley hopes to have two trialists in his squad but will be without Sam McDonald, Ryan Hunt, Jaden Murphy and Lewis Fyfe.

East Craigie can keep the pressure on leaders Blairgowrie with three points from their home clash with Forfar Albion.

The Shipbuilders suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost at Cambuslang in the Scottish last week. Andy McDonald is expected to return.

Albion are without keeper Jason Hill and defender Murray Penman.

Arbroath Vics welcome Coupar Angus looking for a repeat of their 4-1 cup victory last week at Foxhall Park.

Vics will have Steve Florence and Conner Gray back in their squad of 18.

Coupar include new signing, midfielder Kyle Buick and Lee Davidson from suspension. However, Stefan Brown remains banned.

Brechin Vics now meet Blairgowrie at home, the fixture having been switched as Davie Park is hosting a firework display.

The hosts welcome back Jack Gribben but are missing Duncan Martin.

Blair include Sean Kelly and Ryan Menzies. However, Gordon Pirie and Robbie Hood are absent.
