ARBROATH artist Nom Moseley’s work has gone on show at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar.

Nom said: “My art reflects my surroundin­gs, particular­ly the sea. I was a joiner and when I retired I was looking for something to do. I was always able to draw, but I t hought I couldn’t paint. It has now become an obsession.”

A STOBSWELL man has raised £500 to go towards a multiple sclerosis (MS) support centre.

Ross Kendall took part in Sober October to raise the funds after losing his brother to the disease. The money raised has been donated to the MS Therapy Centre Tayside.

He said: “I lost my big brother Scott to MS about three years ago. It’s not a nice disease. He was diagnosed when he was about 36.

“The money couldn’t go to a better cause. Sober October was easier than I thought.”

FEARS have been raised after a pupil was approached by a stranger outside a cit y pri ma ry school.

The i ncident happened last Thursday afternoon when pupils were leaving Eastern Primary on Camperdown Street.

The school was so concerned that the incident has been reported to Police Scotland.

Head teacher Gordon Ferrier has also written to all parents and carers asking them to be vigilant at the end of the school day.

The letter said: “We have been advised there was an incident where one of our pupils was approached and engaged i n conversati­on by an unknown adult on the journey home from school.

“While we have no evidence of sinister i ntent and this may have been an innocent encounter, we have made Police Scotland aware.

“Children have also been given a reminder from their class teacher about awareness of strangers.
