Sentence deferred over stalking offences

SENTENCE has been deferred on a man who admitted stalking offences.

Dariusz Michalowic­z, of Glenmarkie Terrace, pleaded guilty to conduct that caused the woman fear and alarm between February 17-26 at two properties on Clepington Street.

He admitted repeatedly attending the woman’s address, trying to give her flowers and leaving flowers at her front door, despite being told to leave her alone – and breaching bail conditions by attempting to approach her between February 26-March 10.

On March 10 on Catherine Street, Michalowic­z, 38, possessed four different Class B drugs.

Michalowic­z appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court and Sheriff Tom Hughes released him on bail after deferring sentence until August for social work reports.

A 26-YEAR-OLD man has denied allegation­s he spied on a woman while she showered at an address on Step Row on

June 14 last year. Zack Ovenstone appeared at Dundee Sheriff Cour t where a plea of not guilty was tendered on his behalf.

Prosecutor­s allege that Ovenstone, of Wellgrove Street, observed a woman doing a private act by opening a bathroom window and watching her naked in the shower.

A trial was fixed for December by Sheriff Tom Hughes. Ovenstone’s bail order was allowed to continue.

TWO people have continued to deny allegation­s of shopliftin­g from a Home Bargains store.

Sheila Flynn, 54, of Drumlanrig Drive, and 39-year-old Steven Batchelor, a prisoner at HMP Edinburgh, deny stealing clothing from the Milton of Craigie shop on November 21 last year.

Batchelor is additional­ly accused of being in possession of a knife on the same date.

Flynn and Batchelor continued to plead not guilty at Dundee Sheriff Court and Sheriff Tom Hughes continued the case to trial later this month.
