Next stage for dentists

-

DENTISTS are now moving on to the next stage of reintroducing routine NHS care.

From Monday they will be able to provide any treatment that does not involve the dental drill or aerosols.

This means dentists will now be able to carry out procedures such as check ups, hand scaling and giving advice, but will not be providing fillings, root canal treatments, crowns or veneers.

However, NHS Tayside is reminding people that unless they are in pain or have an urgent need, they should wait to be contacted by their practice as they would have done prior the lockdown.

This will allow dentists to carry out essential treatments where possible, while keeping staff and patients safe.
