City hotel to reopen
TRAVELODGE is reopening its Strathmore Avenue hotel to support key workers and local authorities.
The budget chain, which has 47 hotels across Scotland, has been operating three of its sites during the Covid-19 lockdown, in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
Now it has announced a further five will open, including the Dundee hotel.
Shakila Ahmed, spokeswoman for the firm, said: “In these unprecedented times, our hotel teams across Scotland are working enormously hard, under great pressure, to support critical/key workers, vulnerable groups and local authorities.
“We are delighted to be reopening a further five hotels this week in Scotland, which will assist our three hotels that have been operating during the lockdown.”
