-

A DOG was allegedly struck with a child’s bike and repeatedly beaten for more than a month by a city couple.

Kimberley Finnan, 29, and 37-year-old Mark Noble are accused of causing a one-year-old dog named Clover unnecessary suffering between June and July this year.

It is alleged Finnan repeatedly struck the dog on the head and body, seized the dog by its collar and struck it on the head before repeatedly kicking it on the head and body.

This allegedly occurred on Whitfield Rise, where Finnan resides, between June 1-July 7.

Between June 5-26 at the same address, Noble, of Baxter Park Glebe, allegedly struck the dog with a child’s bike on the head and body.

The pair did not appear at Dundee Sheriff Court to answer the charges.

Sheriff Jillian MartinBrown continued the case without plea until later this month.

A WOMAN has been accused of using a bin to attack staff at her local Lidl store.

Louise Dixon, 36, allegedly carried out assaults at the Dura Street store, a short distance away from her home on the same street, on February 10.

Dixon is accused of acting aggressively towards employees Stuart Lumsden, Benjamin Lindsay and Samantha Jordan as well as throwing groceries on the floor, brandishing a glass jar, shouting, swearing, making offensive comments and repeatedly refusing to leave.

Mr Lindsay was allegedly struck with a bin by Dixon who is also accused of pushing a trolley at him.

The Crown alleges Dixon also tried to strike Ms Jordan with a bin before seizing her by the body.

Dixon pleaded not guilty to the charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.

A trial was fixed for June by Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown.
