No plea over glass attack claim

A 26-YEAR-old man allegedly carried out a glass attack before smashing a window.

Boban Ivanovski is also accused of attacking another man during the same incident on Clepington Court, the street where he resides, on December 22.

Ivanovski made no plea when he appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that he assaulted Marius Barberu by punching him and striking him on the face with a glass bottle to his injury.

Thereafter, Ivanovski allegedly punched and kicked Adrian Pavel before using a glass bottle to smash a window.

Prosecutor­s allege that Ivanovski shouted, swore and threatened to get a knife and kill people. He was allegedly found in possession of a glass bottle during the incident.

Ivanovski’s case on petition was continued for further examinatio­n by Sheriff Tom Hughes. He was released on bail. AN uninsured driver allegedly crashed into a stationary car before police found him in possession of a sword.

Kash Gaffar allegedly drove carelessly on High Street, Lochee, Coupar Angus Road, Loons Road, Lawside Road and Campbell Street on December 22.

Gaffar denies failing to maintain proper control of his vehicle, causing the car to swerve across the carriagewa­y before striking a kerb and mounting the pavement.

It is alleged that Gaffar, 42, damaged a stationary vehicle after colliding with it before driving on the wrong side of the road and through a red light.

Further charges allege that Gaffar failed to stop and was unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

The Walker’s Mill man allegedly drove without insurance before being found in possession of a sword on Campbell Street.

Prosecutor­s allege that he failed to provide the identity of the driver of the vehicle to the police.

Gaffar pleaded not guilty when he appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.

Sheriff Tom Hughes fixed a trial for August before releasing Gaffar on bail.
