Memories are made of this

THERE are some things many of us would like to forget – and often they involve alcohol.

But, thanks to one nightclub owner, Dundonians of a certain vintage could soon be receiving a blast from the past in the form of archive footage from one of the city’s most popular nightspots of years gone by.

Club Feet hosted A-list superstars such as Elton John and Ozzy Osbourne in its heyday and thousands across the city would have strutted their stuff on its dancefloor.

And some will be able to relive their youth when city nightclub boss Tony Cochrane – who now runs venues such as Club Tropicana and Aura – streams footage on his public Facebook page on Saturday night (see pages 12 &13).

It will be quite the event, especially for those sweating over what the clips might show from their youth – whether it’s drunken antics or bad hairstyles.

But it’s certainly a bit of light entertainment during this lockdown period – and will lead to many happy memories being relived.
