Man accused of murder threats

-

A FATHER and son were allegedly threatened with murder unless they handed over a car and money.

Jordan Ross is accused of attempting to extort the two men at addresses on Tulloch Court and Strips of Craigie Road between February 20-22.

The 38-year-old allegedly threatened to kidnap, murder and torture the men.

Ross pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that Ross, of Kinghorne Walk, threatened the first man by saying he would have him killed and his children tortured.

Ross allegedly told the man he would have his father subjected to violence.

This was in an attempt to extort the man out of money.

A second man was allegedly threatened with being kidnapped and murdered by Ross unless he delivered him a car and money.

Sheriff Keith O’Mahony fixed a trial for October and released Ross on bail.

THE whirlwind romance of Rexie, the Glenrothes dinosaur, has ended as abruptly and mysteriously as it started.

Locals flocked to see the popular public landmark, which sits on Caskieberran roundabout in the town, after he acquired a female companion on Valentine’s Day.

Rexie’s girlfriend had appeared alongside the 10-foot T-Rex sculpture overnight and without warning, causing much speculation as to where it had come from and who was responsible for the prank.

That mystery was later solved when it was revealed Stella had been kidnapped from its owners’ garden in Kinghorn by pranksters wanting to play Cupid.
