Dundee named pub quiz capital of Scotland

-

DUNDEE has been named as the pub quiz capital of Scotland.

A new study has revealed the City of Discovery has the highest number of pubs offering quizzes per 100,000 people.

Research by online gaming platform Hearts-Challenge found there are approximately 31 pubs in the city offering quiz nights.

Given Dundee’s population of more than 140,000 people, that’s 21.85 pub quizzes per 100,000 people.

Edinburgh came a distant second in the Scottish findings, with 13.12, quizzes per 100,000.

A spokesperson for HeartsChallenge.com said: “Pub quizzes are a fun and thought-provoking way to keep people entertained, but most notably a fantastic way to engage with the local community.

“This study provides a great guide into Scotland’s most prominent quiz cities, with Dundee beating Edinburgh to the top spot by a landslide.”
