A BUS service is offering £1 travel for members of an online Perth loyalty programme.

Mi Rewards gives users access to offers from local firms in exchange for points which are earned by shopping locally.

Members of the platform can now access a £1 Stagecoach East Scotland DayRider ticket, giving locals unlimited travel on services in Perth and Kinross, Dundee, Angus and Fife.

Users of Mi Rewards can spend 50 points to get the deal, which is worth £11.50 and saves passengers £10.50.

The ticket is valid until 4am the following day and can also be used on journeys to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Aberdeen.

Other offers include a wild water swim with Willowgate Activity Centre for 30 points, a professional deluxe emulsion treatment at Charlie Taylor Hair for 30 points, 20% off a bungee jump with Highland Fling Bungee for 160 points and a £100 Perth Gift Card for £50 for 500 points.

Sarah Elliott, commercial director for Stagecoach East Scotland, said: “Stagecoach are a proud part of the local community and take pride in working with local businesses big and small.

“That’s why we jumped at the chance to give back to the people of Perth, who rely on Stagecoach bus services to get to school, work and important appointments and activities, by working with Mi Rewards.

“We’ve previously supported Mi Rewards, so it just made sense to continue our support to Perth shoppers by offering a bus travel reward through the updated platform.”

Colin Munro, managing director of Miconex, said: “The updated Mi Rewards platform delivers exclusive local offers from all types of businesses as a way to encourage local and loyal shopping in Perth.

“Transport, particularly sustainable transport, is key to making local shopping accessible and we’re thrilled to include this fantastic offer from Stagecoach.”
