Tram runs boosted

EDINBURGH trams will now run more often in rush-hour periods to help meet demand.

Services will run from every five minutes between 7.30am to 9.30am and 4.30pm to 6.30pm, rather than every eight to ten minutes. The six extra return journeys provide 1,500 extra seats.

The time change started yesterday after a two-week trial found the increased services had no impact on traffic flows.
