Fire victim named

A WOMAN who died in a flat fire in Dumfries has been named by police.

Officers discovered 39-year-old Emma Jane Moore at a flat in English Street at around 7.45pm on Monday. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Inquiries into the cause of the fire are ongoing and a report is being prepared for the procurator fiscal.
