Over-60s bus trips

OLDER people are being urged to take advantage of handy bus services.

East Dunbartonshire Community Transport (EDCT) organises trips every week for the over-60s to local shops and beyond.

All minibuses are fully accessible and can collect people from their own homes.

Bus services run on a Tuesday and Thursday to local supermarkets and cost £5 for a return trip.

On a Friday, there are trips to shopping centres and towns further away.

Users need to register by calling 0845 605 5955.

EDCT is managed by Community Transport Glasgow, which as well as low-cost minibuses for hire, also offers training and garage services.
