Capital visitor rise

VISITORS are expected to spend a total of £1.5bn each year in Edinburgh by 2020, according to a new survey.

The Edinburgh 2020 Tourism Strategy Midterm Review reveals the number of visits to Edinburgh has increased from 3.27 million in 2010 to 3.85 million in 2015.

The increase in visitor spend supports an additional 3,822 jobs.
