Unite backing

READING about Unite criticising the threat to the 4A bus service (Evening Times, October 20), it’s good to see the union getting involved.

It is undoubtedly true that the key issue here is deregulation.

The bus company is virtually free to do whatever it likes, with SPT having few real powers to influence their decisions.

People’s lives really will be adversely affected by this move, especially the elderly.

I talked to a lady at the bus stop in Cleveden Road the other day who was in tears.
