RANGERS

- NEIL CAMERON

FODERINGHAM (8) Made several top-class saves, including one from a penalty, on a night when he was his team’s best player.

TAVERNIER (6) Did his usual in that he got down the right wing well but Inverness found too much space when he should have been back defending.

KIERNAN (6) He was too weak at the winner even if he had been having a decent enough night up until that point.

WILSON (5) Never looked comfortable at all and gave away a penalty near the end. Has to do better.

WALLACE (6) Did well in attack but was often left bemused by the quick feet of Jake Mulraney and then Larnell Cole.

TORAL (5) Did little of note except miss the easiest of chances to put his side ahead.

HALLIDAY (5) It’s not happening for him. Didn’t get on the ball enough and the first goal came from an area he should have been patrolling.

HYNDMAN (6) Looked bewildered by it all at the start and then grew into the game. He knows how to play a pass.

MILLER (6) Lots of running, a few half chances and at one stage could be found at right back in search of a touch of the ball.

WAGHORN (7) Scored the penalty, saw some chances saved and blocked on a night when he was better than most.

McKAY (5) Missed with a header from a few yards out and after a few good moments faded out of the game.

SUBSTITUTES

HOLT (2) On for Halliday but could do little. GARNER (1) The big summer signing got injury time- says it all.
