Let’s hope tidy city plan works

IT’S one of the items on the Evening Times Fix List - cleaner streets for the people of Glasgow.

We want the problem of overflowing bins and the dumping of rubbish in communities to be addressed.

One of the most important areas for the whole of Glasgow is the city centre, and we welcome the bins initiative reported on Page 12.

And as Stuart Patrick of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce points out: other cities have managed to solve this problem, so it shouldn’t be beyond us. Graham Shields Editor
