Peek into city’s hidden heritage

IT IS Doors Open week, a celebratio­n of Glasgow’s built heritage.

The wealth that flowed through our city is clear to see when you step inside the grand buildings that are usually closed to members of the public.

Over the years I have visited the Clyde Port Authority, the Royal Faculty of Procurator­s and the City Chambers.

They were all spectacula­r but a Doors Open day I enjoyed more was up the 22-storey Anniesland Court last year, when a GHA tenant let us in to share the incredible view from his top-floor flat. Graham Shields Editor
