Hunt for train thug who shouted racist abuse

TWO Pol­ish men were racially abused by a thug as they left a train in Ud­dingston.

Trans­port cops are now hunt­ing the man re­spon­si­ble fol­low­ing the in­ci­dent which hap­pened on Novem­ber 4 on board the 4.50pm ser­vice from Glas­gow Cen­tral to La­nark be­tween Ud­dingston and Wishaw.

The force says that be­tween 5pm to 5.25pm a man be­gan to loudly make racial com­ments about two Pol­ish men who had just left the ser­vice at Ud­dingston sta­tion.

Af­ter this the man con­tin­ued to make racial com­ments on the ser­vice be­fore leav­ing the train at Wishaw.

The train was busy at the time with adults and chil­dren, some of who moved or alighted early from the ser­vice due to the man’s be­haviour and com­ments.

Of­fi­cers want to speak with any­one who was on board the train and saw what hap­pened.

In par­tic­u­lar, of­fi­cers would like to speak to a man who is de­scribed as a white, wear­ing an or­ange hoodie and in the com­pany of two other men.

They were seated in the front of the three car set by the toi­lets.
