Thief targets pizza employees

STAFF at a popular Glasgow restaurant had their belongings ransacked during their shift.

A thief managed to gain access to the staff area of Paesano Pizza on Great Western Road around 7.35pm on Wednesday.

During his raid he managed to steal an iPhone 8, house keys and has since spent more than £200 on stolen cards.

The restaurant has appealed to the public to help track the suspected culprit down and return the stolen items.

Paesano Pizza owners said: “Our staff work very hard in our restaurant­s and for this happen in their place of work it’s been a real blow to the morale of our team.

“The suspect was on Great Western Road at 7.30pm. He came from Coopers direction and left heading towards town. Let’s stop him from trying this in other places.”
