Cops release pictures in plea after ‘serious’ attack in pub
POLICE are appealing for help following a serious assault in the city centre.
The force has released images of a man who may be able to help with the investigation after a 22-year-old man was assaulted in MacConnell’s Bar situated on Hope Street.
The victim was socialising with friends prior to the incident, which occurred around 9pm on February 25.
He was hospitalised for his injuries.
Detectives are keen to speak to the man in the images as they believe that he may have information that will help them with their ongoing investigation.
The man is described as white, around 20 to 30 years old, medium to heavy build, with short brown hair and a brown beard.
He is shown in the image wearing a light grey-coloured top with small reflective markings on the left chest area and on the lower back of the back. He was also wearing light or grey-coloured trousers and light trainers.

“This was a vicious assault that took place in Glasgow city centre.
“MacConnell’s bar was busy at the time and I am appealing for the identification of this man to assist with the ongoing investigation”.
