Strike action imminent as equal pay dispute continues

CORDIA workers are expected to go on strike after the overwhelmi­ng majority voted in favour of action.

Around 98 per cent of Cordia’s GMB members decided on action after negotiator­s failed to meet deadlines regarding equal pay settlement­s.

Branch secretary Shona Thomson said: “We have been underpaid, overworked and overlooked for the last 12 years. We only want what is ours by right, we the lower paid in this city deserve more respect from this council.
