Lasting brands prove old toys are still best

-

SILVERBURN has revealed old toys are still the best, with today’s kids reaching for the classics their parents played with.

The centre’s new research proves the likes of Lego, action figures and dolls, such as My Little Pony, have stood the test of time.

Over half of parents surveyed believe they spent two to three hours a day playing with toys – the same amount they believe kids today spend staring at a screen.

But many of the big sellers from yesteryear are just as popular amongst children of today. Lego came out on top as the brand that has best endured, followed by action figures, dolls and Play Doh all as loved today as they were for the last generation.

David Pierotti, general manager at Silverburn, said: “Whilst iPads and computers are popular these days, comfort can be found in the nostalgic My Little Ponies and cuddly toys of the world.”
