Find out more about hospital refurbishment
THE first in a series of public meetings on the proposed replacement or refurbishment of University Hospital Monklands will take place this month.
A presentation outlining the case for the change and the challenges of building on the existing site will be displayed before the audience, who will have their chance to discuss the proposal and put questions to the NHS Lanarkshire project team.
The meeting will take place on Monday, August 20, in Gartcosh Social Club from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Graeme Reid, Monklands replacement or refurbishment project director, said: “We have a fantastic opportunity to build a state- of- the art hospital for Lanarkshire.
“I would encourage people to take part in the consultation by coming along to our public meetings or completing our online survey.
“This is your chance to help shape the future of healthcare in Lanarkshire.”
