Toffees strike sweet deals for Barca duo

EVERTON finalised free agent Bernard’s four- year contract before Bar c elona announced they had a g r e e d t o a l low defender Yerry Mina move to Goodison for £ 28.5 million and mid f ielder Andre Gomes on loan with a £ 2m fee.

The Toffees are also understood to have submitted a deal sheet to the Premier League, giving them an additional couple of hours beyond the deadline, to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on loan.

Prior to that Chelsea were the most active after bringing in Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic on loan.

Leicester signed 21- year- old Croatia defender Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb on a five- year deal for an undisclosed fee.

West Ham signed forward Lucas Perez from Arsenal on a three- year deal and late on Carlos Sanchez j o i n e d f r o m Fiorentina.

Manchester City signed Daniel Arzani from their partner club Melbourne City, with t h e 1 9 - y e a r - o ld Australia international poised to be sent out on loan to Celtic.
