SCOTT BAIN Decent stop from Christopher Kane on the half-hour mark but other than that – and one skewered kick-out – there was little to trouble him 6 JEREMY TOLJAN Made his debut for the club only a week ago but looks to have been there all season given the seamless manner in which he has integrated into Brendan Rodgers’ side. Had a hand in the opening goal of the day and looks likely to start against Valencia on Thursday 7 DEDRYCK BOYATA Strolled though a game that Celtic dominated. Little to cope with defensively as the hosts spent almost the entirety of the game in St Johnstone’s half JOZO SIMUNOVIC Forced off at the break after complaining of feeling unwell. Remains to be seen if he will recover in time for Thursday’s game against Valencia 5 JONNY HAYES Excellent driving run through the middle of the park before putting the ball on a plate for James Forrest’s goal. Had a shot repelled at the death too which Scott Sinclair pounced on for Celtic’s last goal of the day. Looks like he could well start at left-back for Thursday night’s Europa League tie 7 JAMES FORREST Pre-match boost when he returned to take his place after pulling up with a tight hamstring last Sunday. Bagged his 13th Celtic goal of the season when he netted the third of the afternoon 7 CALLUM McGREGOR Involved in so much in the middle of the park as Celtic ruthlessly turned the screw. No sign of lethargy despite the minutes he is clocking up this season

SCOTT BROWN Celebrated his first goal in almost two years when he smashed a 25-yard effort into the top corner to solidify Celtic’s early control of this game. Could have played in his slippers given how comfortable it was 8 RYAN CHRISTIE Couple of nice exchanges with Oli Burke as they combined well. Had a chance with a header in the second period before he was replaced by Odsonne Edouard 7 SCOTT SINCLAIR Nabbed his second hat-trick this season and looking more like himself these past few weeks. Played with a confidence and a swagger that has been sporadic this term. Started and finished the rout and bagged one in between times 8 OLIVER BURKE His best display in a Celtic shirt so far. Worked his socks off and involved in three out of four of Celtic’s goals. Power and pace made him a constant handful for St Johnstone. Unselfish play to square the ball to Sinclair for the first goal of the afternoon. Tremendous run and cut-back in the opening period that was unfortunate not to lead to another goal. Same again later in game when he linked with Christie. Some concern as he went off with appeared to be a foot problem 7 8 6

KRISTOFFER AJER On for the second period after Simunovic had to go off at the break but little to trouble him at the back 6 ODSONNE EDOUARD On for the final half hour to get some game time into his legs ahead of Thursday night 5 TIMOTHY WEAH On for the final 25 minutes as Celtic kept the pressure up 5
