With 365bhp, rear-wheel drive and an LSD, the Kia Stinger GT S has the foundations of a brilliant performance car. Its chassis, however, isn’t quite sharp enough to contain its weight absolutely. To remedy this, Eibach has developed a set of firmer lowering springs and adjustable hollow anti-roll bars for the Korean saloon.

Forge has developed a great reputation for creating all the equipment needed for getting huge power from turbocharged cars. This recirculation valve provides an increased flow rate and can be adjusted using either of the two actuation springs supplied with the valve.

Non cross-flow engines create all sorts of tuning challenges – fuel and a hot exhaust pipe on the same side of the engine just one of them. To help minimize heat issues when using Weber sidedraught carburettors, Webcon has developed a heat shield made from 1.6mm-gauge stainless steel to deflect hot air around the carbs.

If there’s one criticism of the BMW 1M and E90 M3, it’s that its single-piston sliding-caliper brakes really aren’t up to the task. Alcon’s new upgrade kit with six-piston front and four-pot rear forged aluminium calipers will be a worthwhile upgrade. A price is yet to be announced, but it’s likely to be just under £6000.
