Take me to your leader

This little spider is commonly known as the ‘alien butt spider’, thanks to the ‘eyes’ on its abdomen. The markings deter predators, by making the spider look like a much larger animal. The colourful arachnids are widespread across the east coast of Australia, living in a variety of different habitats.
