Is it possible that there’s a natural plateau with regard to computer technology that coincides with our ability to live with it? In the May issue (p72), you point out that microchip manufactur­ers are unable to keep pace with the continual increases in processing power predicted by Moore’s Law. But it seems strange that we appear to be reaching this point just as more and more people are choosing to reject, avoid or at least limit their exposure to things like social media and smartphone­s. Could the two be related?
