The hotels we’re waiting for, from Devon to Brazil

Pack your bags for some serious hotel-hopping this year. There are whispers of launches from many big brands but we’re most excited by those flying under the radar. UNICO unicohotelrivieramaya.com will open in Mexico’s Riviera Maya in spring with suites that feature plunge pools and a focus on bespoke service. At home, we’re planning our next trip to Devon, where chef Michael Caines has revealed plans for Lympstone Manor. The Grade II-listed property will offer 21 bedrooms and a fine-dining restaurant. Palácio Tangará palaciotangara.com is our pick for summer. The Fifties-style hotel in the heart of São Paulo will comprise

141 rooms with views across Burle Marx Park. And we’re swooning over Anouska Hempel-designed The Duxton Club starwoodhotels.com in Singapore. Split into two heritage shophouses, Duxton House will open in the New Year with 50 rooms, while 138 rooms at Duxton Terrace will follow mid-year. Luxe oriental interiors come as standard.
