Cocktail shakers at the ready: the UK’s top mixologist­s are revealing their tricks of the trade to help improve your at-home happy hour. First up is former Dukes bartender and living legend Salvatore Calabrese, who has produced a series of videos revealing the trusted recipes behind his top tipples. Head to @cocktailma­estro on Instagram to take your martini-making to new heights. At London’s Artesian, bar manager Anna Sebastian has been providing virtual cocktail classes on their Instagram account @artesianba­rlondon with lessons including how to produce the perfect margarita. If you’re keen to buff up on your spirit skills, central London saké bar Moto are now running live Instagram tasting sessions from their account @moto.ldn every Friday at 5pm. Saké expert Erika Haigh is also answering Japanese spirit-related questions during the stream and the saké being tasted can be ordered in advance from motoldn.com – with 20 per cent of all sales being donated to NHS and hospitalit­y workers. Finally, the eccentric James Hart of Soho’s Quo Vadis – @quovadisso­ho – has been helping followers whip up killer concoction­s every Wednesday evening on the restaurant’s Instagram account.
