LOOK AFTER TOMATOES

Remove yellow leaves and any that are directly shading fruit. Continue weekly high potash feeds and pinch out sideshoots of cordon cultivars. Keep moisture levels constant.

HARVEST GARLIC

Look for yellowing foliage as a signal to carefully dig up bulbs. Leave them somewhere sunny and well ventilated outside to dry. Bring them undercover if it rains. Store in a cool, dark, dry spot.

THIN DIRECT SOWN SEEDS

You’ll give them a boost by maximising the light, nutrients and moisture they receive. Weed as you thin, and finish by watering deeply to settle the soil back around any disturbed plants.
