WHAT’S THIS? This looks very much like the flower bracts of the caper spurge, Euphorbia lathyris. A very successful self-seeder, plants grow to 1.5m (5ft) tall and despite its common name, all parts are toxic and contain an irritant sap. It’s said to keep moles at bay, but doesn’t.
