Why aren’t my radishes swelling?
Radishes are easy to grow and the seeds germinate quickly. But they do need plenty of water and space. If you don’t thin them out (to about 5cm/2in) after germination, they won’t make swollen roots. Also, if they go short of water they’ll grow slowly, becoming hard and hot rather than sweet and succulent.
