The book covers all the basic food preservation techniques, including useful sections on how to combat freezer burn, drying for storage, fermenting veg and making delicious chewy fruit leathers. Chapters then proceed by taking each of the common veg, fruit and herbs in turn and looking at which cultivars to choose for best storage and taste, how many to plant to keep your pantry stocked for a year, how best to grow and harvest them. All the storage options are considered, alongside delicioussounding recipes. There’s certainly plenty of food for thought. ✿✿✿✿
