Clean your greenhouse

September is an ideal time to give your potting shed and propagation areas a thorough clean. Have a clear out. Move any plants, pots and staging outside and then give the floor a good sweep to remove compost and plant debris. Clean the glass. As the days get shorter, maximise the amount of light that can enter through greenhouse glass. Remove any shade paint or shade netting and wash the glass with hot, soapy water, inside and out. Wash down surfaces. Wipe down all surfaces with hot, soapy water, cleaning right into the nooks and crannies where pests such as slugs and snails are likely to be tucked away.
