What to look for

WATER OUTLET

Make sure the water outflow/spout provides the type of effect you want in terms of size and overall effect – trickle, flow or gush.

WATER PUMP

Check the supplied pump is powerful enough to circulate the correct volume of water at the correct rate (in litres per hour).

INTEGRATED WATER RESERVOIR

Check the water capacity of the reservoir if it has one. Small designs may need topping up regularly as water evaporates.

SIZE

Too large a feature may dominate its allocated space; too small and it will look insignificant, or even twee.
