Care for sweet peas

Give sweet peas a little TLC and they’ll keep blooming for months.

✿ Pick often. Make sure you harvest the flowers and snip off any that are starting to go to seed every few days. ✿ Water plants. They’re thirsty plants so water at the base during dry spells. They can develop powdery mildew if they become stressed and will run to seed much more quickly. The mass of foliage can sometimes deflect water from the roots when it rains so check the soil at the base of the plants every now and again, even if it has rained, to see if they need more water. ✿ Feed regularly. Give the plants tomato fertiliser, seaweed or homemade liquid comfrey feed every
