Greengage ultimatum

Should I just replace nonfruiting greengage?

- F WOOD, ST LEONARD’S, EAST SUSSEX

Q A‘Reine Claude Doree’ is a delicious greengage that’s notoriously slow to start cropping, but is usually worth the wait. It then needs a warm summer to form flowers and fruit. Even so, we’ve had a couple of warm summers and you’ve waited a good few years.
