Q What’s this pretty pinkflowered shrub?

- J MILWARD, PORTISHEAD, SOMERSET

AYour flowering plant is Lonicera tatarica, a shrubby honeysuckle that can grow to H and S2m (6½ft). The most common form in gardens is ‘Hack’s Red’, which has deep pink flowers instead of the usual paler pink. The fragrant flowers are produced from late spring through summer and are followed by reddish fruits.

Prune after flowering.
