Could I move my rhododendrons?

Q

- PETER THOMSON, VIA WEBSITE

ARhododendrons can be moved if they’re approx H1m (3ft 3in). The best time to do it is from March to May, or in autumn.

Water each plant well and dig around its roots to avoid damage. Have a plastic sheet ready to lift them onto so you can drag them to a new position. Or, pot them up into moist ericaceous compost and keep well watered. You could advertise the plants on Facebook marketplace or Gumtree if you don’t want to keep them.
