I brought loads of potted plants with me when I moved house, but lost a lot of them in last year’s hot summer. Just as I was about to get help to sort out my new garden, I was forced to go into shielding. I watched in despair as my plant collection suffered, the neighbours’ weeds started to take over and the whole garden looked simply dreadful.

My ‘Sweet Dreams’ rose delivered a ray of hope. The bush was smothered in bright orange buds that turned to peach then pale pink. It had 48 flowers growing on just one stem! I’ve been able to cut stems all summer, so it’s cheered me up both outside and in! Teresa Arlett, by email
