Maintain and top up bark paths

Bark paths meandering through beds and borders give a natural feel to the garden. But after a few years, bark does start to break down, especially when walked on regularly. Late winter is an ideal time to top it up. Apply a layer at least an inch or two thick and lightly rake it over to form a level surface.
