Make a windowsill propagator

-

Grow early seedlings on a warm sunny windowsill, using a foil reflector and recycled pots and labels.

1. Measure your sunny windowsill and find a box that will fit on it. Remove the longest side of the box, facing the window glass. Leave a slight lip to protect seedlings from draughts.

2. Wrap foil around the box interior to reflect as much sunlight as possible onto the seedlings.

3. Make drainage holes in the bottom of coffee cups or other recycled containers, and fill with seed compost.

4. Sow seed, water in and label. We’ve used recycled bamboo cutlery!
