Step by Step How to plant

1 Fill pots or trays with multi-purpose compost so you’ve got space for a 5cm (2in) layer of compost. Tap down gently.

2 Space oca tubers on top of the soil and cover with compost. Cover with horticultural fleece until established.

3 Place in the glasshouse or on windowsill and transplant outside in the open or in a pot when frosts have passed.
