Take cuttings of African violets
Your beloved indoor saintpaulias, or African violets, can easily be propagated by leaf cuttings now for best results. It’s always amazing to see new plants emerging from small sections of leaf, just like that! Simply snip off a healthy, mature leaf or two, including the stalk, as the basis of your cuttings. In small pots of seed compost, insert two full leaves up to the edge of their leaf blades, with each at the edge of the pot. Water in well and keep with a clear plastic bag secured over the pot at around 18C (64F). Remove the plastic bag when you spot little plantlets growing from the base.
