Step by step

1 Fill pots halfway with good-quality seed compost and insert one bean per pot.

2 Backfill with more seed compost all the way to the top and firm down nicely.

3 Water your newly-sown plants well. On dry days there’s a risk of them drying out.

4 Label the pots and store in the greenhouse to germinate, which will take around 7-10 days.
